During this short call, we will listen to your situation, identify whether your matter is something we can assist with, and explain the next steps and likely pathways available to you. After this, we will explain what is required to move forward and any costs involved before any work begins.

  Our fixed fees cover all standard aspects of your matter, including: preparation and submission of applications or legal documents, communication with the Department of Home Affairs, Tribunal or Court, and ongoing updates and support throughout your matter.

If your matter involves additional complexity or requires court appearances, we’ll provide a tailored quote before proceeding.

We understand that legal costs can be a significant investment. That’s why we offer flexible payment arrangements in some cases, including staged payments for longer or more complex matters. Just ask us during your consultation.

McLean Legal is a member of the Victoria Legal Aid (VLA) referral panel.

This means we can assess your matter and, where appropriate, apply to Victoria Legal Aid for funding on your behalf. Legal aid funding may be available to clients who do not have the financial capacity to pay for legal representation.

Victoria Legal Aid may grant legal assistance for certain migration and refugee matters in the Federal Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, or the High Court. Funding is generally limited to judicial review matters and may be available where the proceedings seek to challenge the lawfulness of a person’s detention, or where there is an arguable error of law in a migration decision.
